NEWSLETTER 5: Lead the Way with What You Built
What building a GPT taught me about influence at work
Intro: You've built your GPT. Now it's time to launch it, lead the way, and let your leadership shine.
How to Launch + Get Buy-in:
Pitch the problem and solution to a trusted manager or peer
Share the GPT link with 1–2 people and ask for honest feedback
Improve it based on real questions
Ask for a team pilot once your bot proves helpful
What Happened When I Did This
After I launched my GPT at work—built to support teams across Moderna by answering Maximo-related questions, I didn't expect what came next: I was invited to kick off Moderna's Speaker Series for the year as the first presenter. That invite came after I built a tool that solved real problems.
But here's the truth: the tool opened doors because people opened them, too. I had a manager who believed in my work and mentioned it in rooms I hadn't entered yet. I stayed intentional about building relationships while building the GPT. I met with people across teams, not to pitch but to connect. I learned what mattered to them, found ways to support their goals, and created buy-in along the way.
The more people saw the value, the more they used it, and the more the momentum grew. That's how you lead a launch: not just with a good tool but with a real connection.
Bonus: Keep Your Momentum

Final Thoughts: You are now an AI builder. A digital problem solver. Someone who dreamed about change and led it. And the best part? You can teach others, too.
AI is just the beginning,
Eva
